Cancer treatment is the costliest, longest thing we do.

The lockdown was hard on everyone. For Phuntsho, it was almost fatal.

Phuntsho came to us during the lockdown with a large tumor growing in his nose. He was in Phuentsholing with no way to access treatment, and with the cancer he had, every week without chemotherapy reduces the chance of recovery.

We brought him to our clinic, hospitalized him, and started the protocol. The treatment runs over many weeks. He completed every round. The tumor responded.

Phuntsho is alive because the timing held — barely. Cancer treatment is one of the costliest, longest, and least certain things we do. We do it because the alternative is not doing it.
